About The Position
Richardson International is seeking an Extruder / Press Operator for their Food Manufacturing team. This role operates and manages extrusion and press equipment according to production schedules, monitors various stages of the production process, and performs quality checks. The operator is responsible for recording data, performing die changes, maintaining a clean work environment, and reporting equipment issues. This position requires adherence to all food safety, quality, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage extrusion and press equipment according to production schedules
- Monitor mixers, flour/water ratios, drying stages, silos, conveyors, and material flow
- Perform quality checks throughout the drying process; identify defects and make timely adjustments
- Set up and manage egg product hoppers according to procedures
- Record machine readings and production data; report abnormal readings immediately
- Perform die changes and assist other operators as needed
- Keep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and audit‑ready
- Report equipment issues and complete machine logs and work orders
- Follow all food safety, quality, and safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
