About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Day Shift Extruder Operator to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI. The Day Shift Schedule is 4:00 am - 4:30 pm, working Monday - Thursday one week and Monday - Wednesday the following week. The hourly rate for this position is $20.50 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential. This role is in a fast-paced environment with lightweight production and assembly work, offering a variety of job tasks and opportunities for training, cross-training, and career advancement. The work environment is safety-focused and family-oriented.

• Prior machine operator experience
• Strong mechanical inclination
• Self-motivation
• Ability to stay focused
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Works from prints, sketches, and specifications
• Completes quality checks
• Operates extrusion equipment
• Uses power-driven tools
• Fills out production reports
• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies supervisor/team lead of any existing or potential safety issues
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
