About The Position

Cerrowire, a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator. The production team is composed of individuals with drive, passion, and high standards. This role involves operating various machines that contribute to product manufacturing, fostering skill development.
This is a 12-hour shift on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Day shift is 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret production orders in English.
• Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
• Operators must be able to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Employment is contingent upon passing pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Run production equipment to produce high-quality electrical copper wire.
• Learn the various aspects of production processes, such as drawing, bunching, and extrusion.
• Utilize computer controls to operate production equipment.
• Run production equipment to prescribed guides to achieve daily production goals efficiently.
• Perform hourly quality checks to ensure product meets quality standards.
• Work to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and all teammates, always.
• Maintain good housekeeping around lines, production floor, and communal areas.
• When unclear, ask question(s) to obtain a full and clear understanding of the task and/or standard at hand.
• Assist where needed on the production floor as assigned by leadership completing duties other than producing product on your regularly assigned equipment.
• Other duties assigned.
