About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring an Extruder Operator to support manufacturing operations at its North Brunswick Township, New Jersey site. The role sets up and supports production equipment, operates machinery as needed, monitors equipment, and helps troubleshoot issues to meet daily production goals and maintain production flow. The operator performs equipment changeovers and basic maintenance, completes production documentation, and follows safety, quality, and company procedures. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues on problem-solving, process improvements, and team projects; training and supporting team members; keeping the work area clean and organized; and assisting with other manufacturing activities as needed. This is a permanent, full-time position on the second shift, scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The base pay is $20.00. The work is physical and may require lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks throughout the shift. Full-time team members receive benefits beginning on their first day.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing, production, machine operation, or technician experience.
Experience with extrusion, plastics, or windows and doors manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Set up and support production equipment to meet daily production goals.
