About The Position

Operates the Cast Line extruder and process equipment, including starting the machine, engaging the feed, and observing the operation. Manages the changeover process and maintains the blending system with mix recipes. Inspects and measures completed pieces to ensure conformity to customer production standards and adjusts controls as needed. Supervises and instructs the line assistant in production tasks. Performs assigned preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Records quality and production metrics accurately and within deadlines. Works with a safety-first mentality and utilizes IPS lean manufacturing skills. Performs related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2+ Years in a Manufacturing Environment with experience in Extrusion required
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to regularly lift large lightweight items above head required
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis

• Supervises and instructs line assistant in all production based tasks.
• Maintains equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
• Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.
• Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor
