Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
2+ Years in a Manufacturing Environment with experience in Extrusion required
Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
Ability to regularly lift large lightweight items above head required
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the cast line extruder and process equipment including starting the machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and manages changeover process.
Maintains blending system including mix recipes.
Inspects and measures completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.
Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure product complies with production standards.
Supervises and instructs line assistant in all production based tasks.
Maintains equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.
Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
