About The Position

The Extra Laborer is responsible for general cleaning duties and maintaining a safe, orderly environment. The role also involves physically lifting and moving equipment during building conversions and arena event changeovers. This is an event-driven position with schedules and hours that vary based on business needs and employee availability. During peak season (October–April), associates are scheduled an average of 3–4 nights per week; during the off season (May–September), associates are scheduled an average of 0–2 nights per week. Employee schedules are performance-based. Typical shift hours are 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
• Ability to work with various operating groups.
• Positive attitude and good teamwork ethic.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook for internal communication.
• Ability to learn and navigate scheduling software (WorkForce).
• Basic understanding of technology, including using apps, learning new systems, and adapting to updates.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Report to scheduled shifts on time and in uniform.
• Lift heavy equipment for arena event changeovers.
• Pick, sweep, mop, and detail all forms of arena bowl cleaning.
• Move trash and handle basketball courts, sports floors, portable chairs, hockey glass, and hockey dash.
• Operate forklifts and powered and non-powered pallet jacks.
• Use cleaning, hand, and power tools; learn tasks including rigging and snow-removal equipment operation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
• Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members, including adhering to on-site appearance and presentation guidelines.
