About The Position

This role assists with the setup, operation, and teardown of events and event-related production equipment, including lighting, sound, video, streaming, and other staging equipment. The position supports day-of-show operations by assisting with event execution, schedules, break coverage, and coordination with stage employees and event staff. It also involves identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving basic technical and operational issues during events and setups. The role works with clients, stagehands, student employees, and full-time staff to support production and event needs, and assists with training, guiding, and supporting student employees and stagehands during event operations. Additionally, the role performs basic maintenance, cleaning, and organization of production equipment and work areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) months of experience in technical operations of event production or closely related experience
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Remain at workstation for extended periods.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Ability to lift/ push/pull up to 80 pounds.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Ability to climb, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach overhead.
