Extra Care Unit Care Worker
About The Position
At Apex, we are recruiting Care Assistants for our Extra Care service in Dorchester at Melrose Court, Foylebank Court, and Westhaven House. Extra Care units offer residents their own self-contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based within the unit and who provide care to each resident. As a care assistant at our Extra Care Unit, you will be supporting residents, who all have varying needs to live as independently as possible, with personalised care and support plans in place. Every client's needs are different. You may assist with a bit of housework or help with getting up in the morning. A tasty hot meal and a listening ear. A hand with medication or getting washed and dressed. But more than this, our carers become friends, providing human company, encouragement and maybe a laugh or two, often when life has become a bit tough. Caring isn't always easy, but a lot of people and their families will be grateful that you were there for them. Cera makes caring easier with Cera Tech. Requirements
- A passion for helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including alternate weekends.
- This vacancy is restricted for women only due to the provision of intimate care, clients have the right to request a carer of a specific sex.

Responsibilities
- Supporting residents with varying needs to live as independently as possible.
- Assisting with daily tasks such as housework, getting up in the morning, medication, and personal care (washing and dressing).
- Providing human company, encouragement, and emotional support.
- Utilizing Cera Tech technology to streamline administrative tasks and enhance client outcomes.
- Responding to predictive technology and risk alerts to make informed decisions and take swift action.
