About The Position

Responsible for achieving annuity sales, recruiting, and other related goals within assigned region for Midland National Life (MNL) Insurance Company. Identify and build relationships with targeted Financial Advisors and Broker Dealer Partners to successfully market and drive annuity sales. Position product and company benefits and strengths primarily through face-to-face meetings.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and to communicate clearly and concisely with effective written and oral skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships-Internally and Externally
  • Excellent presentation skills, both in creation and delivery, to current and prospective producers/distribution partners of Sammons Financial Group member companies
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices
  • Demonstrate exceptional working knowledge of annuity products and company benefits and strengths
  • Proven ability to grow a region/territory as measured by sales, producer growth and persistency of business
  • Effective organizational, time management, sales and presentation skills
  • Life Insurance State life insurance licenses or ability to obtain within 120 Days Required
  • 80% Travel in region for various producer meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Work within assigned region to achieve assigned annuity sales goals.
  • Identify and build relationships with key producers in region through face-to-face meetings, regional industry events, phone calls, and other forms of communication in order to achieve annuity sales goals.
  • Partner with an Internal Wholesaler to jointly execute a focused plan to meet activity and sales goals.
  • Drive fixed annuity product sales by promoting companies’ products, services, and benefits. Create and provide business plans/goals and train and support agents/producers.
  • Provide producer training and carry out sales campaigns to producers within region and other distribution partners to assist the company in meeting production goals.
  • Attend, facilitate agent training, and promote company and products at various Broker Dealer and industry conferences as necessary.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to articulate the Company’s strategy by presenting a compelling story about companies strength, culture, values, products, and services to drive sales growth and deepen relationships with producers and partners.
  • Deliver presentations educating producers and distribution partners on company, product, and services in order to drive quality annuity sales to the company.
  • Facilitate recruiting campaigns to prospective agents in order to assist company in achieving recruiting goals.
  • Assist with developing and implementing training programs for new products, point of sale work, services and programs offered by the company.
  • Provide assistance and information to producers on company products, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management in the implementation of outbound phone campaigns and other programs to be carried out from the home office. In conjunction with sales management, create, implement, and follow-through on sales and marketing campaigns within assigned region. This includes ensuring that activity requirements and service standards are met at all times.
  • Gather and maintain competitor information and assist management in developing product and sales tools to gain and maintain a competitive advantage; act as a steward for the agents/distribution partners to keep them involved with field climate, trends and other important strategic information.
  • Support expense management by completing accurate travel expense reports on time, thoughtfully manage regional expenses, and identify and implement personal expense efficiencies.
