Magone & Company, P.C. is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our growing assurance team. This is an opportunity for a public accounting professional who is ready to take greater ownership of engagements, work closely with clients, mentor developing staff, and build a long-term career within a modern, growth-oriented CPA firm. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in managing audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion while serving as a trusted point of contact for clients and team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
4–6 years of progressive audit experience
At least 2 years of recent public accounting experience
Experience managing audit engagements from planning through completion
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement reporting
Experience supervising or mentoring junior professionals
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
Proficiency with audit software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
CPA license preferred or active progress toward certification
Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from initial planning through final delivery
Coordinate engagement timelines, fieldwork, documentation, and client requests
Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules
Identify accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters
Communicate engagement progress and findings to clients and firm leadership
Supervise, coach, and support staff accountants throughout engagements
Help improve audit processes through technology, standardization, and efficient workflows
Build strong client relationships by providing responsive and professional service
