About The Position

Magone & Company, P.C. is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing assurance team. This role is for a public accounting professional ready to take on more engagement ownership, work closely with clients, mentor junior staff, and build a long-term career in a modern, growth-oriented CPA firm. The Audit Senior will manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning to completion, serving as a key client and team contact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 4–6 years of progressive audit experience
• At least 2 years of recent public accounting experience
• Experience managing audit engagements from planning through completion
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement reporting
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior professionals
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
• Proficiency with audit software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• CPA license preferred or active progress toward certification

Responsibilities

• Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements from initial planning through final delivery
• Coordinate engagement timelines, fieldwork, documentation, and client requests
• Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules
• Identify accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters
• Communicate engagement progress and findings to clients and firm leadership
• Supervise, coach, and support staff accountants throughout engagements
• Help improve audit processes through technology, standardization, and efficient workflows
• Build strong client relationships by providing responsive and professional service
