Requirements

  • 5-6+ years of related experience and demonstrated knowledge of government, public policy, economic development, and communications.
  • Excellent writing and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, synthesize ideas, and plan strategically.
  • Ability to coordinate work among variety of skill sets.
  • Ability to work well in a grassroots environment.

  • Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with government affairs, communications, and business teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated outreach.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement efforts involving community leaders, elected officials, business organizations, and advocacy groups.
  • Monitor political, legislative, and regulatory developments that may impact company priorities.
  • Manage relationships with external consultants and advocacy partners to ensure alignment in strategy.
  • Support consistent and effective communication channels with municipal officials, community leaders, and grasstops organizations.
  • Ensure prompt and appropriate company responses to questions/complaints/problems.
  • Support local affairs representatives in securing necessary permits.
  • Assists during any major storm event.
  • May provide leadership to less experienced staff.
