Exterior System Launch Enigneer

EDAG•Louisville, KY

About The Position

EDAG is seeking an Exterior System Launch Engineer to coordinate exterior-systems launch activities from pre-production builds through production ramp-up. The role tracks open issues, milestones, risks, owners, and closure dates, and communicates status to program stakeholders. It leads structured problem-solving for fit, function, appearance, quality, and manufacturing issues, while supporting vehicle builds, plant trials, launch reviews, containment activities, and escalation processes. The engineer reviews and helps maintain DFMEAs, Control Plans, and related quality and launch-readiness deliverables. The role verifies that corrective actions are implemented and effective, documents evidence, and escalates unresolved risks. It also coordinates supplier and plant support—including part availability, inspection, rework, and process readiness—and supports alignment between engineering intent, manufacturing requirements, and build or production feedback. The position is a six-month contract. Possible locations are Louisville, Kentucky; Dearborn, Michigan; and Long Beach, California.
