Exterior System Launch Engineer

EDAG Inc•Louisville, KY

About The Position

The Exterior System Launch Engineer coordinates exterior-systems launch activities from pre-production builds through production ramp-up. The role tracks launch issues, milestones, risks, owners, and closure dates, and communicates status to program stakeholders. It leads structured problem-solving for fit, function, appearance, quality, and manufacturing issues, and supports vehicle builds, plant trials, launch reviews, containment activities, and escalations. The engineer reviews and helps maintain DFMEAs, Control Plans, and related quality and launch-readiness deliverables. The role verifies corrective-action implementation and effectiveness, documents evidence, and escalates unresolved risks. It also coordinates supplier and plant support—including part availability, inspection, rework, and process readiness—and helps align engineering intent with manufacturing requirements and build or production feedback.
