Exterior Painter
About The Position
Summit Reconstruction & Restoration is a rapidly growing restoration and reconstruction company with a focus on exterior envelope rehabilitation projects and 24/7 emergency mitigation and repairs. The company is a leader in its industry, with many of the largest management companies in Portland/Vancouver as clients, and has a hardworking and fun culture. They are currently hiring Experienced Painters to perform exterior work on commercial buildings, large apartment & condo complexes, and private homes within the Portland Metro/Vancouver area.
Requirements
- Must have proven experience as a painter.
- Must be able to pass E-Verify and eligible to work in the United States.
- Positive attitude, team-player, and great attention to detail.
- Must be willing to climb and work from ladders, scaffold, planks & roofs when required.
- Safety conscious.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Be able to pass a drug screen/criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Drywall installation and finishing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
- Pressure wash all surfaces to remove dirt, debris.
- Scrape loose / peeling paint.
- Reset popped nails.
- Priming all materials and surfaces.
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
- Apply varnish and other fine finishes.
