About The Position

Insomniac is seeking motivated individuals for their Exterior Operations Crew for the Nocturnal Wonderland 2026 event. This role is ideal for those passionate about dance music and experienced in exterior operations, shuttle, and traffic management. The crew will be responsible for various aspects of festival setup and operations, contributing to the immersive experience Insomniac is known for. Insomniac is a global leader in producing innovative music festivals and events, with a commitment to quality and fan interaction.

Requirements

  • Must have a clean motor vehicle report.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Must be able to walk long distances for long periods of time, constantly moving and on feet.
  • Must be able to lift 50+lbs.
  • Clean and presentable attire (show blacks).
  • Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
  • Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.
  • Heavy Equipment certified.
  • OSHA cert.

Nice To Haves

  • Fork lift certs required.
  • Earth moving equipment and/or CDL certifications and experience are a plus.
  • Signage crew does not require fork lift certifications, although they are helpful.
  • Signage lead requires some experience in signage or similar departments.
  • Shuttle Loader/Unloader positions are entry level.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, stakebeds, water trucks, dump trucks, front end loaders, and skid steers.
  • Direct crews on how to safely perform their jobs.
  • Work with vendors to mark out fence lines and manage inventory for loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Report maintenance needs for equipment.
  • Hang signs around the festival perimeter to direct attendees.
  • Install signs ranging from small zip-tied signs to larger signs on overhead truss, and parking lot flags.
  • Understand where and why signs are being placed, considering patron flow and paths of travel.
  • Load and unload attendees from buses on show days.
  • Manage shuttle staff break times.
  • Check in bus drivers and ensure buses are running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise with shuttle operations.
