About The Position

Insomniac is seeking motivated individuals passionate about dance music and experienced in exterior operations, shuttle, and traffic management for their Nocturnal Wonderland 2026 event. This role involves various positions within the Exterior Operations team, including heavy equipment operation, build leadership, signage installation, and shuttle operations. Requirements

  • Must have a clean motor vehicle report.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Must be able to walk long distances for long periods of time, constantly moving and on feet.
  • Must be able to lift 50+lbs.
  • Clean and presentable attire (show blacks).
  • Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
  • Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.
  • Fork lift certs required.
  • OSHA cert

Nice To Haves

  • Earth moving equipment and/or CDL certifications and experience are a plus.
  • Fork lift certifications are helpful for the Signage Crew.
  • Some experience in signage or similar departments is required for Signage Leads.
  • Experience working on the crew is typically a prerequisite for Ext Ops Build Leads.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, stakebeds, water trucks, dump trucks, front-end loaders, and skid steers.
  • Direct crews on how to safely perform their jobs.
  • Work with vendors to mark out fence lines.
  • Manage inventory for loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Work with heavy equipment vendors to report maintenance needs.
  • Hang signs around the festival perimeter, ranging from small signs with zip ties to larger signs on overhead truss, and install parking lot flags.
  • Understand where and why signs are being placed, directing signage crews.
  • Load and unload headliners from buses on show days.
  • Manage shuttle staff break times.
  • Check in bus drivers.
  • Ensure buses are running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
