About The Position

Builders FirstSource is seeking an Exterior Door Installer for their team in the Layton, Utah Area. Requirements

  • Own and maintain a reliable vehicle as a means of getting to and from jobs.
  • Be able to plan and keep to a schedule.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with company policy.
  • Own and maintain personal tools, work bags, and ladder.
  • Ability to use Google Maps to drive to locations.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to write concise accurate emails and attach pictures.
  • Be aware of job site hazards and be proactive in dealing with them.
  • Verify correct doors, rough openings, and swings.
  • Install previously delivered doors to company standards and specifications.
  • Apply latest building codes, industry standards, and company policies in daily work.
  • Stay knowledgeable of OSHA and BFS regulations, and apply safety requirements in daily work.
  • Solve problems on the fly.
  • Physical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Be able to lift heavy materials.
  • Knowledge and experience with hand tools (Drills, levels, multiple types of saws, measuring tape, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the construction/install field is preferred but not required as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Install exterior doors into newly constructed houses or buildings.
  • Use Google Maps to drive to locations.
  • Write concise, accurate emails and attach pictures using Outlook and Excel.
  • Be aware of job site hazards and proactively deal with them.
  • Verify correct doors, rough openings, and swings.
  • Install previously delivered doors to company standards and specifications.
  • Apply latest building codes, industry standards, and company policies in daily work.
  • Stay knowledgeable of OSHA and BFS regulations, and apply safety requirements in daily work (e.g. wearing hard hats, steel-toe work boots, fall prevention requirements when applicable, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
