Exterior Cladding Systems Foreperson
About The Position
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented professionals to join our team focused on the installation, maintenance, and inspection of exterior cladding systems on high-rise structures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work at heights with precision and care. This role may involve the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support research, analysis, content development, design, reporting, or operational efficiency. Employees are expected to use AI responsibly and in compliance with company policies, data privacy requirements, confidentiality obligations, and applicable laws. All AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs must be reviewed for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness before use. Employees are also expected to disclose when AI tools have been used in the creation of work and must not present AI-generated content as solely their own original work.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with exterior cladding systems on high-rise buildings.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of installation techniques for various cladding materials.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures for working at heights.
- Understand the requirements and limitations of various types of access equipment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in challenging conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications (Swing stage operators, scaffold safety, rigging) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of exterior cladding materials, including metal panels, fiber cement and composite systems on high-rise buildings.
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and installation instructions to ensure precise execution of cladding systems.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all materials and workmanship meet company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper use of boom lifts, swing stages, scaffolding, harnesses, and other fall protection equipment.
- Perform regular inspections to identify and resolve potential issues with cladding systems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Communicate with Production manager and Project managers for site input and final measuring and progress reporting.
- Document work progress and report any challenges or incidents to supervisors promptly.
