What We Need As a member of the Cornell Dairy Foods Center and the Dairy Extension team, this Extension Support Specialist will be key in supporting the mission of these programs under the direct supervision of Dr. Nicole Martin, and will be responsible for: Providing programmatic support to ongoing Dairy Foods Extension activities, including but not limited to: planning, organizing, implementing, recording, and reporting on workshops and other outreach activities. Additionally, providing programmatic support to the newly rebranded Cornell Dairy Foods Center (formerly the Northeast Dairy Foods Research Center), one of six national dairy foods centers established in concert with Dairy Management, Inc. in 1987. Support of key Center activities includes planning and implementing Center meetings (in-person and virtual), supporting Center Director initiatives, engagement with students and dairy industry stakeholders to promote the Center and ensure alignment with stakeholder needs. This position will be responsible for recording and reporting key program metrics, website maintenance, and social media presence. This is a full-time (100% FTE) on-site, one-year appointment role with possible extension dependent on performance and funding.
