About The Position

Oklahoma State University Extension educators serve as the primary point of contact between OSU and the citizens of Oklahoma across all 77 counties. Established in 1914, OSU Extension operates as a federal, state, and county partnership. Its mission is to disseminate information and promote the adoption of research-based knowledge throughout Oklahoma. Extension educators deliver this research-based information to clients in areas such as agriculture, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and rural development. This role is headquartered in Perry, Oklahoma, and serves Noble County. The position provides leadership and management for the county's 4-H youth development program, which offers a variety of opportunities to foster positive youth participation and development. Approximately 90% of the role's time is dedicated to youth development, with the remaining time focused on adult programming compatible with the educator's background. The educator will collaborate as part of a team to engage local clientele and advisory groups in planning, implementing, and evaluating the overall OCES county program. The position requires the incumbent to maintain cellular or other electronic communication devices, with compensation included in the salary for personal device usage. Requirements

Bachelor's in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, Social Science, or closely related field.
Degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date.
No experience required.
Valid Drivers License.
Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.

Nice To Haves

Master's in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, Social Science, or closely related field.
Success in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning experiences for youth and/or adults in community-based, non-formal education programs is desired.
Previous experience in Cooperative Extension or closely related work is desirable.

Responsibilities
