Extended Support Specialist
About The Position
We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to live in for 6 full 24-hour days and support adults with developmental disabilities through personal care, daily living assistance, social and recreational activities, day services, and community outings. This role focuses on helping individuals achieve the goals in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs) while promoting independence, confidence, and skill-building. Team members collaborate across programs and departments to ensure coordinated, high‑quality services and positive outcomes for each consumer. Requirements
- Candidates must have a high school diploma, GED.
- Minimum 21 years old
- One (1) year of experience required working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- A reliable insurable car with a valid driver's license, and proof of required auto insurance are necessary.
- Certificate of Proof of Insurance for all new hires must obtain medication administration, First Aid/CPR, Safety Care behavior intervention training, and complete the Illinois DHS DSP curriculum within required timelines.
