About The Position

The Student Services Department is seeking 1-2 special educators certified in Orton-Gillingham and/or Wilson to provide small-group reading instruction during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This summer employment opportunity involves delivering targeted intervention aligned with students' IEP goals and collaborating with ESY staff to support student progress. The ESY program runs in two sessions with a break in between. Staff preferences regarding grade/age will be honored to the extent possible. Requirements

  • Special educator certification in Orton-Gillingham and/or Wilson.
  • Attend a one (1) hour planning session prior to the end of the school year.
  • Develop and complete schedules by June 5, 2026.
  • Communicate schedules to families.
  • Collect regular data towards existing IEP goals.
  • Take and maintain daily attendance.
  • Complete ALL student summer performance reports by the end of day on the last day of the program.
  • Provide copies of student summer performance reports to be filed and mailed.
  • Upload student summer performance reports into EasyIEP.
  • Combine student performance reports into one document for parent(s) and district file.
  • Upload combined student performance reports into students electronic file.
