About The Position

The extended learning analyst supports registration, records, and operational activities for non-credit programming, including continuing education, micro-credentials, conferences, and events. This role involves overseeing and maintaining registration and financial records within the extended learning system while assisting with the setup and delivery of classes and events. Work includes coordinating event and program registration processes, supporting financial reconciliation activities, and contributing to the effective delivery of learner services. The analyst collaborates with academic and administrative units to support extended learning initiatives and provides guidance on processes and systems. Additionally, they contribute to reporting, process improvements, and the development of operating procedures.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a fast-paced, client-centered environment, including experience supporting senior administrators.
  • Knowledge of event management, continuing education programming, technical and process writing, and data integrity practices.
  • Ability to support users in navigating systems and administrative processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining multiple tasks, tight timelines, and competing demands.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • High attention to detail with data accuracy and process improvement focus.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree is an asset.
  • Experience working with faculty and staff in a post-secondary or large environment is an asset
  • Experience with Destiny One and TeamDynamix is preferred.
  • Familiarity with university systems, such as Banner, Canvas, BCDiploma, and MyCreds is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes processes and develops standard operating procedures to support operational planning and service delivery.
  • Recommends and implements procedural changes to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality, and resolve complex administrative matters.
  • Supports the collection, analysis, and reporting of operational, registration, financial, and service-related data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains expertise in the registration system and provides guidance on administrative processes, system functionality, and leading practices.
  • Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with academic and administrative units, service providers, and stakeholders to support extended learning priorities and learner success.
  • Provides guidance and information to faculty, staff, and learners regarding registration, records, financial, and administrative processes and systems.
  • Coordinates development and delivery of continuing education classes, micro-credentials, conferences, and events within the registration system.
  • Coordinates registration activities for events and continuing education programming in collaboration with campus units and service providers.
  • Coordinates financial reconciliation activities and supports the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of financial processes.
  • Monitors registration, financial, and learner records to ensure data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Supports event planning and administration requirements, including collaboration with service units, to facilitate successful program and event delivery.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates articles, training materials, user documentation, and procedural resources for internal and external audiences.
  • Compiles and maintains documentation, approvals, records, and administrative resources to support extended learning operations.
  • Coordinates the creation, verification, and distribution of digital badges and credentials for micro-credentials and continuing education programming.
  • Facilitates scheduling, registration, and learner administration activities for classes, events, and other non-credit programming.
  • Triages and responds to support requests from internal and external users, providing learner-centered service.
  • Supports the allocation of institutional resources through effective administration of registration, scheduling, and event management processes.
  • Maintains a high-quality learner experience through accurate and timely administration of registration services, learner support activities, and credential issuance.
  • Assists with administrative and operational activities for extended learning and department initiatives.
  • Communicates and acts in a respectful and professional manner, collaborates effectively, abides by policy, and contributes to a positive and productive work and learning environment.

Benefits

  • The salary range, based on 1.0 FTE, is $53,091.00 - 82,954.00 per annum.
  • The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
