About The Position

Trinity School for Children, located in Tampa, Florida, is currently seeking part-time Extended Day Counselors to join our Extended Day Education Program. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 2:15 PM - 5:30 PM. In this role, you will continuously monitor children aged 5-13 years of age at all times to ensure their safety and positive interactions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• HS diploma or equivalent
• Must complete a satisfactory criminal background check, including fingerprinting (cost of $95) and drug testing (employer paid).

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children
• Proven ability to remain patient, compassionate, and respectful
• Maintain a warm and friendly personality

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitors the children at all times to ensure safety.
• Use appropriate language and positive discipline; model appropriate behavior; treat all children with dignity and respect.
• Maintains confidentiality of program and client related information.
• Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
• Interacts and maintains effective relationships with children and administration.
• Able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit on the floor, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
