About The Position

Saint Rose Catholic school is seeking an individual who would be passionate in leading and directing our Extended Care program. The ideal candidate would be able to train, manage, and supervise our Extended Care Staff, ensure the safety and care of our students (Preschool through 8th grade), and provide good communication with our students' parents.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Four (4) years experience working with children in educational or child care settings.
• A basic understanding of the Catholic Faith and the ability to provide a personal and professional witness consistent with the moral teaching of the Church.
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Ability to pass a Tennessee TBI Fingerprinting background check
• Ability to complete Diocesan Safe Environment Training and Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of before-school and after-school care programs.
• Works with the principal to interview and hire staff. Trains, schedules, and evaluates extended care teachers, aides, and substitutes.
• Maintains a secure environment, enforces school rules, and coordinates recreational activities like crafts.
• Tracks daily attendance, manages program supplies and snacks, and coordinates billing or records with the main school office. Ensures Saint Rose of Lima's Extended Care program meets the requirements for State Certification.
• Communicates with parents regarding behavior, student needs, and any concerns.
• Ensures security measures needed to keep students safe in event of weather, fire, threat, or any emergency situation. Releases students to the appropriate parent or pick-up contact designated by the parent.
• Oversees programing and staffing of Camp Saint Rose, overseeing registration, coordinating with camp staff, and acting as secretary during the camp sessions.
