About The Position

Hendrick Automotive Group is hiring two Express Technicians for its Volkswagen dealership in Concord, North Carolina. No Volkswagen experience is required; the employer provides 100% paid Volkswagen factory training and ASE certifications. The role is suited to someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career with the Volkswagen brand. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with performance pay plans, bonuses, and opportunities to advance as skills and Volkswagen certifications grow. The position is based primarily in the service area. Work involves moving around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and safely operating tools and equipment. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service conditions, and regularly interact with service advisors and the service manager. Scheduled shifts include rotating Saturdays and holidays. The job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Mechanical aptitude and a genuine eagerness to learn the Volkswagen platform.
Valid driver's license.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work scheduled shifts, including rotating Saturdays and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

Some automotive experience or technical training is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform express lane services, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and multi-point inspections.
Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on Volkswagen vehicles.
Report necessary repairs accurately and promptly to the service advisor.
Verify fluid levels and ensure vehicles are clean before returning them to customers.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
Participate in required Volkswagen factory training and stay current on brand updates.
Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
Follow all safety protocols, Safeguards rules, and company policies.
