As a Quick Lube Technician, your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that vehicle systems are functioning correctly, performing diagnostic tests, and executing high-quality repairs on vehicles in our service drive. Your expertise will contribute to our reputation for excellence, and you'll play a vital role in maintaining our customers' trust and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of automobiles, with the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose issues.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with an eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members and ensure clarity in all service-related tasks.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and stay current with new repair and service procedures.
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certification or Technical degree (preferred).
  • At least one year of experience in a service department (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough tests to check the security and proper functioning of vehicle systems and components. Isolate and identify issues to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.
  • Drive vehicles for testing purposes, inspect and refill fluid levels, ensure proper tire pressure, and lubricate fittings as needed.
  • Perform oil changes, including installing new oil drain plugs and oil filters. Accurately communicate oil levels and any potential issues to your teammates.
  • Proactively repair or replace worn parts to prevent breakdowns or damage, ensuring vehicles remain in peak condition.
  • Utilize power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform a variety of tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Work closely with your colleagues to maintain a high standard of service and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
