About The Position

Nissan of San Bernardino is looking for Entry-Level Express Technicians to join their team. This role is responsible for performing essential maintenance tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle longevity. The technician will conduct routine service inspections, perform oil and filter changes, check and top-off fluids, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service area. This position offers an opportunity for continuous learning in automotive technology and requires strong communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • No experience necessary.

  • Unrestricted California driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Safety and customer service oriented.
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.

  • Ability to meet production standards once trained.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Experience in the same position.
  • One year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired.
  • Certification as a state inspector a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Lube Oil and Filter are changed in a timely manner for ensured customer satisfaction.
  • Check all fluids and maintenance-related parts and top-off or replace fluids or filters/parts as required.
  • Perform routine service inspections or tests and complete standard maintenance jobs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
  • Ensure that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Follow all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensure the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions.
  • Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required.
  • Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
  • Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
  • Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work as well as the estimated time for completion so that customers can be informed.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay informed with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
