About The Position
Diehl Chevrolet/Toyota of Hermitage is hiring an Express Lube Technician / Quick Lube Technician to join their automotive service team. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on dealership experience working with Chevrolet, Toyota, and various pre-owned vehicles. It is suitable for individuals with existing experience as a Lube Technician, Oil Change Technician, Tire Technician, Automotive Technician, Mechanic, or Service Technician, as well as those seeking an entry-level automotive position with growth potential.
Requirements
- Basic automotive mechanical knowledge
- Ability to safely use automotive hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Willingness to learn and complete additional automotive training
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, Service Advisors, and management
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Previous quick lube, dealership, tire shop, or automotive service experience
- Experience with Chevrolet, Toyota, GM, ASE-certified repair facilities, independent repair shops, quick-lube centers, tire shops, or other automotive dealerships
Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes
- Complete tire rotations and tire pressure checks
- Check and top off vehicle fluids
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections
- Inspect tires, brakes, belts, hoses, filters, and other basic vehicle components
- Replace engine air filters and cabin air filters
- Replace windshield wipers and other basic maintenance items
- Assist with basic automotive maintenance and light repairs
- Identify potential maintenance and repair needs
- Communicate inspection findings to Service Advisors
- Properly document completed services and inspections
- Safely operate vehicle lifts, automotive tools, and service equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow Chevrolet, Toyota, and dealership service procedures
- Help maintain an efficient flow of vehicles through the service department
