Requirements

• Must be able to observe and follow all safety procedures and precautions.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (Exceptions may apply for high school students working part time and summer employment)
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to communicate, written and orally, effectively with customers and other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 lb.
• Ability to occasionally lift 75lb.
• Ability to stand for several hours.
• Ability to use hand tools such as screwdriver, pliers, etc. and cleaning supplies such broom, scrub brush and cleaning products etc.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of customers and employees and observe all safety rules.
• Assist all areas of Car Wash as required by supervisor, including cleaning, maintenance, and promotional selling.
• Perform various maintenance and cleaning functions on the car wash and related equipment.
• Perform various maintenance and repairs including changing of paper in kiosk, adding soap to barrels and maintaining cleanliness in the absence of the manager.
• Effectively approach customers and promote the car wash at the fueling islands and inform customers of current promotions etc.
• Recognize vehicles which will not go through the car wash based on a vehicle assessment and explain to the customer why their vehicle cannot be washed if necessary.
