About The Position
The Sampson County Exposition Center is hiring for the position of Exposition Center Custodian. This role is responsible for keeping the building in clean and orderly condition. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be self-motivated, adaptable and work independently.
Requirements
- Knowledge of custodial and facility maintenance practices, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and power tools.
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment, perform routine maintenance tasks, maintain building cleanliness and safety, and lift or move materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently while following established safety procedures and maintaining a clean, secure, and well-maintained facility.
- A valid driver's license for the State of North Carolina is required.
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment, chemical handling, and basic maintenance or repair tasks is strongly preferred.
