About The Position

The Sampson County Exposition Center is hiring for the position of Exposition Center Custodian. This role is responsible for keeping the building in clean and orderly condition. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be self-motivated, adaptable and work independently.

Requirements

• Knowledge of custodial and facility maintenance practices
• Knowledge of the safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and power tools
• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks
• Ability to maintain building cleanliness and safety
• Ability to lift or move materials weighing up to 60 pounds
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently while following established safety procedures
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in janitorial or custodial work
• Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment operation, and facility maintenance practices
• Valid driver's license for the State of North Carolina
