About The Position

The Export Operations Supervisor is responsible for the timely and efficient movement of Global Tyson products to all international customers through all modes of transportation (refrigerated trucking, hopper, tanker, refrigerated box car, ocean container, intermodal, etc.). This role ensures cross-functional collaboration and alignment on strategic plans necessary to provide Tyson a competitive advantage. The supervisor will develop and improve working relationships with internal and external business partners, including plants/shipping locations, drayage providers, cross-dock and cold storage, procurement, finance, operations, IT, and maintenance. They will ensure Tyson export allocations are fully utilized for efficient product movement and promote and support technological and automation initiatives to improve product movement through the Global network. The position also supports continuous improvement and change management, leads and develops a team to support Tyson Global transportation and total company initiatives, and participates in frequent supplier service reviews. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for risk management and contingency planning related to trends and threats impacting Global transportation and Global BUs, and models Tyson values and culture by building strong relationships and trust, creating discipline and focus around developing talent, building a talent pipeline, and fostering an environment that empowers team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Logistics a plus, or Bachelor's degree in Business w/3 plus yrs relevant experience a plus.
  • 3 plus yrs. of Logistics, Distribution, Exports/Imports and/or Transportation experience preferred.
  • Versed in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and various supply chain operating systems
  • Mid to Senior level management written, presentation and verbal skills.
  • Minimal travel required. Approximately 2-3 domestic trips annually.
