About The Position

In the expo position, the expo persons job is to facilitate in delivering food to the proper table when ready and proper person. As well as assist with guest needs (table or person).

Requirements

Must provide prompt and cordial service to all guests.
Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, point-of-sale computer systems.
Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure.
Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
Apply critical thinking to solve problems in standardized situations.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to work independently.
Must meet legal age requirements for the position.
High school diploma or equal to a GED.
Must speak and communicate in English.
Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers.
Must have Food Handler Certificate.
Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
Valid California Driver License is required (for specific positions).

Nice To Haves

Prior resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.
Proficient in POS system preferred, but not required.
TIPs certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen
Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
Assist in the final preparation of dishes
Check dishes before delivering for accuracy, presentation and temperature
Deliver orders to maintain fast service
Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
Deliver orders to maintain fast service

Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
Handle complaints from clients from clients to preserve the restaurants reputation
Help with Room Service telephone orders
Ensure all services to guests are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail.
Support safe work habits and contributes to a safe working environment.
Consistently come to work regularly and on time.

Follow directions, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and guests with respect and courtesy, contributes to a positive and rewarding team environment and refrains from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior.
