About The Position

Phelan Family Brands, a family-owned and locally operated restaurant group, is seeking an Expo team member. The primary responsibility is to ensure the final assembly and proper presentation of food products according to recipe specifications before they are delivered to guests. The role requires coordinating completed dishes based on ticket times, maintaining food quality and safety, and communicating promptly with managers about delays or other significant issues. The Expo maintains a clean and sanitary line and works effectively with guests, managers, and employees in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Requirements

• Ability to accurately read food tickets and calculate and expedite dishes according to ticket times.
• Working knowledge of food recipes and specifications.
• Working knowledge of food safety standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respond promptly to guests, managers, and employees.
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Responsibilities

• Read food tickets accurately and expedite completed dishes in order of longest ticket time, except for recooks and special requests.
• Promptly inform managers of checks that exceed company ticket-time standards.
• Apply knowledge of recipes and specifications to ensure food quality.
• Follow food safety standards and promptly report significant issues, including food safety concerns, subpar products, long ticket times, and recooks.
• Maintain favorable working relationships and communicate clearly and promptly with guests, managers, and employees.
• Maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
• Follow company rules and policies described in the staff handbook.
• Help maintain a safe working environment to reduce the risk of foodborne illness, injury, and accidents.
• Keep the expo line clean and sanitary, and maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
• Stock and restock items on the line as needed.
• Complete job responsibilities in a timely and effective manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
