About The Position

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting for the challenging position of Exploration Geologist to join their Geology team. Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a strong track record of creating value through solid financial performance, low-cost production growth, and a commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. They operate three mines in Canada and Mexico, with a portfolio of development stage projects and early-stage exploration projects. Alamos Gold's Young-Davidson mine is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines, located near Matachewan, Ontario. Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in mineral exploration, with expertise in core logging, sampling, and geological interpretation.
  • Proven track record supporting exploration programs and contributing to geological modeling and data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences; registered or eligible for registration as a Geologist in Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (P.Geo).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills with a self-motivated approach to work.
  • Passion for mineral exploration, gold deposit systems, and continuous learning in geological sciences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Leapfrog, ArcGIS, and SQL databases is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and interpret geological data from diamond drilling, field mapping, surface sampling, and re-logging of historic drill core.
  • Ensure industry best practices are followed for geological logging, sampling, and database management.
  • Collaborate with senior geologists to interpret geological information and support exploration programs and work plans.
  • Contribute to deposit- and regional-scale geological modeling to support resource development and targeting.
  • Uphold strong safety, environmental, and operational standards at all times while contributing to a positive safety culture.
