About The Position

The primary role of the Exploration Geologist is to support gold exploration programs at and near the Haile gold mine. Essential functions include contributing to geological work such as core and RC chip logging, assisting with drill logistics, sample collection, geologic mapping, geologic log review and reinterpretation, QAQC tracking and reporting, and other areas as needed. The role also involves contributing to 3D digital geologic models, generating interpretive sections and plan maps, and developing drill targets through conceptual geological understanding and applied deposit knowledge. Additionally, the geologist will contribute to reporting products for various audiences and act in accordance with and promote Company values and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or closely related field required
• 0-5 years of mining and/or exploration experience
• Demonstrated interpretive geological skills
• Good understanding of ore deposit models and geological processes
• Exposure to economic parameters of mining operations and exploration projects
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, community and environment
• Must be able to legally work in the USA
• Must possess a valid USA drivers’ license
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred
• Competence with industry-standard software preferred (i.e. Leapfrog, Vulcan, ArcGIS)
• Experience with core logging and mapping preferred

Responsibilities
