About The Position

Swift is looking for an experienced Automated Test Engineer to join a dynamic modernization program in Sterling, VA involving direct support to the mission; collaboration with application development, full stack software engineering, tier 3 and 4 teams; and the update of all applications and tech stacks. Please note the required security clearance below; we are not able to sponsor candidates for a polygraph for this role.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or equivalent).
  • Strong proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or similar DevOps platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience supporting automated testing in iterative development environments.
  • Experience testing APIs, microservices, web applications, and/or containerized applications deployed in cloud or hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail, ALM, Azure DevOps) and experience supporting formal verification and validation processes.
  • Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles, secure coding/testing practices, and documentation standards in regulated or classified environments.
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites to validate complex software systems supporting Intelligence Community mission requirements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression strategies to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous validation across development, test, staging, and production environments.
  • Evaluate software, hardware, interfaces, and associated documentation to ensure system performance, reliability, and security requirements are met.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, and formal test readiness reviews throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC), providing actionable feedback to developers and stakeholders.
