About The Position

DESOTEC is dedicated to protecting the planet through sustainable, mobile filter solutions using activated carbon. We purify air, soil, gas, water, and other liquids. Our filters are distributed to companies across the US via a smart rental model. When the carbon is saturated, we retrieve it for reactivation, unburdening our customers of the administrative, moral, logistical, and ecological consequences of their purification needs. This allows them to focus on sustainable production.

Requirements

  • Create and maintain a safe working environment while adhering to all environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Demonstrate advanced technical expertise across multiple maintenance disciplines
  • Support operational excellence through equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor team members and share technical knowledge with operations and maintenance personnel
  • Maintain accurate records and support maintenance KPI tracking
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance when needed
  • Support emergency response and operational continuity efforts
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment screenings, which may include vision testing, audiometry, blood testing, EKG, respiratory testing, chest X-rays, and a general physical examination
  • Must be available for emergency call-outs and plant support outside normal working hours

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair services across multiple crafts including electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and facility maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment, facility, and production system issues using lean principles such as PDCA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Support and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Maintain, repair, and improve plant equipment, grounds, and facility infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, wire motors, install electrical cable, and repair electronic equipment
  • Perform modifications and updates within the facility's SCADA control system
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex PLC and SCADA-controlled equipment
  • Evaluate equipment, materials, and maintenance processes and recommend improvements
  • Monitor and update maintenance equipment KPIs on a regular basis
  • Develop and follow maintenance programs to ensure proper equipment and facility performance
  • Assist and mentor production and maintenance personnel with equipment troubleshooting and system improvements
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomic programs
  • Lead maintenance operations in the absence of the Plant Manager
  • Respond to plant downtime, equipment failures, and emergency situations outside of normal business hours as required
  • Manage maintenance resources and support cost control initiatives
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management
