About The Position

Trinity Heads, Inc. is searching for an Expert Equipment Technician (2nd shift) in our Navasota, Texas Facility. This role is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to troubleshooting and repairing industrial controls, hydraulic and mechanical controls, to include 0-20 milliamp signals, 24 volts direct current powered, 120 volts alternating current on all industrial operations equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years of related experience; industrial controls, industrial hydraulics and industrial furnace specialty experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment drawing, and electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics schematics.
  • Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects, comfortable with heights.
  • May require working in narrow or confined workspaces for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including basic pneumatics and complex hydraulics systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems up to 480 volt.
  • Troubleshoots PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Troubleshoots and repair mechanical problems, including hydraulic and pneumatic.
  • Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals with extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic symbols.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
  • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, read and understand electrical schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. Extensive knowledge using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Installs and repairs hydraulic systems, apparatus, hydraulic and pneumatic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following code, manuals, read hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams with knowledge of complex hydraulic symbols, blueprints, and other specifications.
  • Lays out, builds, tests troubleshoot, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.
  • May test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, make minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Maintains and completes all required records in company CMMS program (EAM)
  • Follows all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing and able to train and teach other technicians.
