About The Position

We are looking for claims experts, home insurance, to join our route department. Your career development is important to you and you have a thirst for learning and developing skills? This role is a new member of our growing team.

Requirements

• Hold a valid AMF license. (5A)
• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a route claims expert, with particular expertise in water or fire damage claims, as well as commercial claims.
• Demonstrate a passion for customer service and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Autonomous and goal-oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technological aptitude with excellent computer skills.
• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Hold a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Be able to travel on short notice.
• Have a good knowledge of insurance products.
• Bilingualism (French / English) – Necessity to handle claims files for an English-speaking clientele on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze the information gathered, insurance wording, and damages to determine what is covered in each situation.
• Assess the potential civil liability of the insured and third parties by consulting experts.
• Negotiate with clients, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims, within your authority.
• Manage field tasks on behalf of internal claims experts.
• Participate actively in the management of claims and work when the volume is high, as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with different teams, including claims assessment, underwriting, and legal services.
• Ensure efficient cost management.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in insurance products and assessment and investigation techniques and services.
