About The Position

As a claims expert in recovery, you will analyze strategic files, evaluate third-party responsibility, and lead negotiations that directly impact the recovery of sums due. This role is ideal for a curious, analytical, and collaborative individual who wishes to develop their potential within a human, innovative, and evolving company. You will be passionate about property and casualty insurance, civil liability principles, and teamwork, supported by the company's guidance and in-depth expertise.

Requirements

Recognized for mastery of civil liability principles
Possesses a DEC or AEC in property and casualty insurance, or a Law degree, or any other equivalent training
Distinguished by rigor, autonomy, and analytical capacity
Demonstrates great ease in negotiation and argumentation
Recognized for curiosity, collaboration, and a desire to progress
Possesses a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in claims expertise, including the management of recovery and/or civil liability files

Responsibilities

Analyze automobile and home insurance files to confirm recovery possibilities (evaluate third-party responsibility)
Ensure complete management of recovery procedures in selected files
Gather necessary information, documents, and expert opinions
Transmit notices, requests, and other documents to targeted third parties
Develop strategies to close files favorably and profitably
Negotiate actively and argumentatively
Oversee the collection of sums received following recovery efforts
Build trusting relationships with internal company members
Collaborate with company lawyers on litigious files
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Stay informed of relevant jurisprudential and legislative developments, in collaboration with company lawyers
