About The Position

Volvo Group North America, LLC is seeking an Expert Data Analyst to drive North American Data Analytics activities within the Quality organization. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and developing data quality rules, standards, and governance frameworks to support reliable global reporting. The position requires collaboration with international teams in Europe, India, and Brazil, and contributing to the team’s strategy and roadmap in alignment with global data initiatives. The analyst will provide guidance to enhance analytical capabilities and promote data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities include maintaining data integrity across various sources (warranty, logged vehicle, customer, manufacturing, and truck data) through profiling, cleaning, and root cause analysis, and partnering with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. The role also involves executing analytics assignments from exploratory data analysis to advanced statistical modeling to identify business insights, detect issues, and forecast quality and uptime performance. Close partnership with Engineering, Purchasing, and Q&CS functions is essential for aligning goals, harmonizing global reporting and analytics strategies, and supporting unified warranty reporting for Volvo and Mack brands in North America. The position supports the development and execution of the organization’s data science and analytics roadmap for continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience working with one of the following SAS Institute data analytics tools: Enterprise Guide, Databricks, or Azure tables.
  • 3 years of experience working with the following technical tools: SQL, Python, R, Azure Analytics Cloud, Jupyter Notebook, Power BI and Apache Spark.
  • 3 years of experience performing SAS Analytics, including SAS Enterprise Guide programming.
  • 3 years of experience performing warranty data analytics in a Quality setting.
  • 3 years of experience working with unsupervised and supervised machine learning techniques.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree and 3 years of experience, 5 years of experience will be accepted.

Benefits
