About The Position

Drives strategic technical solution design to align with enterprise architecture and business objectives, while directing the creation of comprehensive work plans that support organizational priorities. It governs configuration and implementation standards across all environments, evaluates enterprise-wide processes to recommend optimizations, and leads resolution of complex operational issues. Responsibilities include establishing documentation standards, developing advanced test strategies with automation and performance benchmarks, and defining technology standards that influence enterprise policies. Assists in resource planning, cost and budgetary impact estimations for large-scale initiatives and monitors project execution to ensure compliance with timelines, quality metrics, and organizational goals. Provides oversight and management of the day-to-day tasks related to intake and assignment of tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years Direct applications build, implementation and support experience and 7 years Progressive experience in Information Services or combination of Information Services and direct Health Care experience.
  • Medium to Large-scale implementation/upgrades
  • Comprehensive test plans development
  • Large Hospital/IDN Information Technology Experience and/or Healthcare Operations Experience
  • Large Project Management Implementation/Upgrade Facilitation
  • Integrated Applications Planning, Development and Implementation
  • Technical Collaboration (e.g. Interfaces, Hardware and Reporting)
  • Team Leadership Coaching and Mentoring
  • Triaging On-call/DR/BC

  • Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation skills.
  • Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems requiring expert knowledge of technological solutions in highly complex business issues.
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job area, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to IS&T and Jefferson, which may include customers or vendors.

  • May conduct briefings with senior leaders within IS&T.
