EXPERIMENTAL TEST PILOT - CAMARILLO, CA As a Test Pilot within Skyryse Operations, you are the bridge between cutting-edge engineering and real-world flight. You’ll pair strong aviation fundamentals with sharp risk awareness and the communication skills required to translate complex flight scenarios into actionable insight.
Requirements
- 1,000+ hours of Pilot in Command flight time in Rotorcraft
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or other engineering discipline
- FAA Class II Medical
- Team player with excellent communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of Navy Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, or equivalent high-level formal course, or possess 5+ years of direct flight-test experience
- Three years of test pilot experience on developmental flight test programs
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter commercial pilot license
Responsibilities
- Execute experimental flight tests in a rotorcraft helicopter that directly shape the future of aviation.
- Partner with Flight Test Engineers to translate high-level requirements into executable test strategies, authoring test plans, cards, and procedures that move programs forward quickly and safely.
- Develop and maintain flight manuals, operations, checklists and procedures.
- Lead and/or participate in safety of flight and flight readiness review boards.
- Operate with regulatory rigor and startup velocity, completing documentation that meets FAA standards while enabling rapid iteration.
- Maintain elite proficiency across multiple aircraft platforms, ensuring readiness to support diverse test campaigns as programs evolve.
