Experienced Workers Compensation Adjuster
About The Position
At Texas Mutual, the Claims Adjuster contributes to the company’s mission of creating a stronger, safer Texas by investigating claims and administering benefits to injured workers and their beneficiaries. The role operates in accordance with the Texas Workers' Compensation Act, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) rules, and corporate procedures. Reserving authority is consistent with the adjuster’s experience, and the position reports to the Claims Supervisor. The position handles moderate to complex workers’ compensation claims, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper claim management. Texas Mutual uses a flex-hybrid work model, with remote work and office collaboration based on business needs. Employees must reside in Texas and travel to their designated office as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2 to 4 years of experience adjusting workers' compensation claims.
- Current Texas workers' compensation or all lines adjuster license.

Responsibilities
- Administer workers' compensation benefits to injured workers.
- Investigate coverage and compensability, establish and maintain appropriate reserves, and make appropriate claim recommendations.
- Manage established claims on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and proper handling of moderate to complex claims.
- Demonstrate proficiency in claim file management, work effectiveness, interpersonal skills, and customer service.
