About The Position

The Experienced Welder is responsible to use multiple semi-automatic processes and welding equipment to efficiently weld various components for products. The H5 Welder will produce quality weldments, of the highest difficulty requiring welds at a minimum of 30” in all positions, on stainless and carbon steel materials. Production of welds with excellent aesthetics in various joint configurations is required. Fabrication of quality weldments of a limited complexity is required.

Requirements

Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
Independently plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
Independently joins and fabricates metal by applying appropriate welding techniques.
Independently sets up and tack welds parts with or without use of fixtures or jigs.
Keeps equipment and work area clean and organized, performs required PM’s on machines and equipment and reports all non-conformities to Line Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance until the problem has been rectified.
Makes repairs or performs rework as directed.

Responsibilities

Independently interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to ensure products meet quality standards.
Performs finishing welds with excellent aesthetics on complex joints and weldments.
Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness and performs quality checks on work completed, conducts root cause analysis and implements solutions.
Trains others as directed.
