About The Position

The Experienced Welder is responsible to use multiple semi-automatic processes and welding equipment to efficiently weld various components for products. The H5 Welder will produce quality weldments, of the highest difficulty requiring welds at a minimum of 30” in all positions, on stainless and carbon steel materials. Production of welds with excellent aesthetics in various joint configurations is required. Fabrication of quality weldments of a limited complexity is required.

Requirements

  • Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
  • Independently plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
  • Independently joins and fabricates metal by applying appropriate welding techniques.
  • Independently sets up and tack welds parts with or without use of fixtures or jigs.
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and organized, performs required PM’s on machines and equipment and reports all non-conformities to Line Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance until the problem has been rectified.
  • Makes repairs or performs rework as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Independently interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Performs finishing welds with excellent aesthetics on complex joints and weldments.
  • Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness and performs quality checks on work completed, conducts root cause analysis and implements solutions.
  • Trains others as directed.
  • Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.

  • Independently joins and fabricates metal by applying appropriate welding techniques.
  • Independently sets up and tack welds parts with or without use of fixtures or jigs.

  • Makes repairs or performs rework as directed.
  • Demonstrates a good attendance record; is aware of the impact that missing work will have on the customer as well as co-workers.
