About The Position

IMT, an Oshkosh company, manufactures service vehicles and material handling systems for industries including mining, construction, tire service, railroad, and utilities. Weld team members turn manufactured and purchased parts into service boxes and may weld crane components or truck boxes. The role involves welding various metals, performing repairs, and cleaning welds to complete truck bodies.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of welding experience.
• Basic blueprint-reading ability.
• Ability to read measuring instruments.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts in fixtures and tack weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals of all gauges.
• Assemble and weld metal parts in accordance with IMT standards.
• Cut, fit, heat, and bend parts; perform weld repairs and rebuild parts as directed.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Be a reliable and punctual team member.
